STAY IN TOUCH
As if a phoenix rising from the ashes, The RXN has come a long way. From a local acoustic-only act to a plugged in, head thumping and fist pumping endeavor, their debut self-titled album hits a new level they didn't quite expect they could reach. Their sound is an eclectic mix of folk, funk, soul, blues and rock inside a bubblegum pop wrapper with all kinds of goodies inside. Each song has its own personality, its own ember that burns at its core; every melody and lyric emobodies the individual that poured their heart and soul in it for everyone to explore. Join The RXN on their journey with their first outing. Cheer for "Nothing", give it all you got, and don't forget to embrace the "White Bright Light".
The RXN is an indie/alternative pop band originating out of St. Petersburg, FL, comprised of lead singer Christine Luceus, guitarist Vince Marino, multi-instrumentalist Brett Bowcott and percussionist Carmen Copeland.
The RXN has a broad palette of influences ranging from Amy Winehouse, Ben Folds, Florence + The Machine, and Of Monsters and Men; if you like any mix of singer-songwriter, rock, funk or indie music you’ll find a home here. With various musical backgrounds, the band aptly picked their name because of the ReaXioN to their musical chemistry.
Currently, you can catch The RXN in the Tampa Bay area playing local shows. On the cusp of releasing their very first album, Reaction, they’re excited to show the world what The RXN can do! The new album will be featured on a multitude of popular streaming/purchasing sites, such as iTunes and Amazon. In the meantime, you can also check out their live EP Lab Notes to get an idea of what’s in store for the new album.
Founders Christine and Vince met through the music program at St. Petersburg College. Christine needed a guitar player and Vince needed a singer, so they met up and started playing open mics together. Brett heard one of their first originals and ecstatically proposed the perfect cello sound for a specific song.
After looking for a drummer and referred to by a friend, Carmen entered the scene. From the first slap of the congas it was love at first sound and these three became a band.
As always, enjoy.
Stay Tuned with The RXN!
